Each class will include a break down and review of core movement as well as short combinations to fun music. For continuing students, additional layering and variations will be offered to enhance technique and alignment.

Have fun exploring slow and sensual movement blended with accents to fast percussive rhythms, inspiring self expression and empowering healthy body image. Classes will introduce the core movements of undulations, isolations, hip patterns, and shimmies. We will learn short combinations to both popular and classic Middle Eastern music.

Beginning with gentle non-stressful movements warming up major muscles, we will learn the basic steps of belly dance which are organic to a woman's anatomy. Enjoy the benefits of enhanced body awareness as we build a movement vocabulary of fluid spinal undulations and powerful shimmies and a range of hip movements. Each class will conclude with a cool down and stretch.
